"I was putting together a short video..."
I was putting together a short video the other night and figured adding captions would be the easy part. But the text tools kept lagging on me, and once the captions finally showed up, they were missing words here and there. I ended up spending way more time fixing the captions than actually editing the video. It’s usable, but it still messes up too often to feel smooth.

"I got charged by mistake and reached out..."
I got charged by mistake and reached out expecting it to be a straightforward refund. Instead, support kept sending what felt like the same copy-paste responses, and nobody actually fixed the issue. From my side, it seemed like they weren’t really looking into my case at all. I’m still waiting on my money back, and the whole thing has been really frustrating.

"I do like the app and it..."
I do like the app and it works well, but the monthly subscription just feels a bit too pricey now. kinda hard to justify keeping it every month tbh.

"Audio tools are kind of a pain"
I use capcut.com here and there for quick little videos, and the video side is fine enough, but the audio editing makes me sigh every time. Like, cutting clips is okay, sure, but then I start trying to tweak the volume or line something up just right or add a fade, and suddenly it feels way more fiddly than it should. And maybe it’s just me, but I’ve had moments where the audio seems to shift a tiny bit after I make edits, which is the kind of thing that makes you question what you even touched.
For super basic stuff, it’ll get the job done, so I’m not saying it’s totally unusable. But if you actually care about cleaner sound or need anything more precise, it gets frustrating fast. I expected it to feel smoother and a bit more dependable. I gave it 2 stars because it technically works, but for audio editing, it just doesn’t feel good enough.
"Uploads keep failing and downloads just hang"
I tried using it for a few basic video uploads, but they kept failing for no clear reason. Downloads also seem to get stuck halfway, which is pretty frustrating. I’m not really sure what’s going on with that part, but I don’t feel like I can rely on it.
"Looks Different on Phone vs Desktop"
I usually just do a quick check and assume the phone and desktop versions will line up, but they really don’t. What I see on mobile never seems to match what shows up on desktop, which makes it frustrating.

"Surprisingly solid for a free editor"
I’ve been using the free version of CapCut for quick little videos, it’s been good. I was a bit worried at first that it would feel like one of those apps that says it’s free but then tricks you into paying for everything, but there are actually a lot of useful tools included. Some effects and export options do try to push you toward upgrading, which I expected, but for basic editing it gets the job done without making me feel ripped off.
"Nice filters, though a few effects lag..."
I’ve been using this for quick edits and the filters are really nice. Most of the effects are easy to figure out too, which I appreciate. A couple of the trendier ones do lag on my phone sometimes, so that gets a little annoying... but overall, it’s still a solid app for making quick edits when I don’t want to spend too much time on it.

"Locked out and frustrated"
I’ve been trying to get back into my capcut account for a few days now, and it feels like I’m stuck in some kind of loop. The password reset either doesn’t work, the code shows up super late or not at all, and then I just get a vague “something went wrong” message.
What makes it worse is that I had projects saved in there, so it’s not like I can just move on and make a new account. From my side, it feels like the system is broken and support isn’t really understanding the urgency. I just want access to my stuff again, and the whole thing has been really frustrating.

"Felt like the same templates on repeat"
I was trying to put something together quickly and felt a bit rushed, but I kept running into the same kinds of templates over and over. I was hoping for more options, especially something that felt fresh, but a lot of them looked like ones I've already seen everywhere. It made even simple edits take longer than I expected.

"Crashes constantly"
I can barely even use this app because it crashes pretty much every single time I open it. I keep hoping it’ll work, but it just ends up closing on me again, which is really frustrating.
"Is rendering this slow for everyone?"
I’ve been using CapCut for some quick edits, but the rendering is taking way too long. Even short videos that feel like they should be done in a few minutes just sit there forever, and sometimes it gets stuck on the same percentage. I tried refreshing and starting over, but it didn’t really help. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m wondering if other people are dealing with this too? It’s frustrating when you just want to finish a simple video.

"Easy to Use, But I Had to Poke Around a Bit"
I started using CapCut for a quick video edit, and for the basic stuff, it was pretty simple to figure out. Cutting clips, adding a little text, and throwing in music was easy enough. But once I wanted to do anything slightly more specific, I found myself clicking around like, “Okay, where is that tool hiding?” It’s definitely handy for making quick videos, but I do wish some features were a little easier to find without so much trial and error.

"Good value for the price"
I was in a relaxed mood when I tried CapCut, just messing around with some quick edits, and it’s solid for the price. A few features do feel a little limited, but for social videos or simple edits, it gets the job done and feels worth it overall.

"Bad first impression, but the edits are decent"
At first, I wasn’t too impressed. The app felt a bit limited right away, and I was expecting more control over the details. That said, the basic editing tools do work well once you get into it. I just wish there were deeper options for fine-tuning things instead of feeling stuck with the surface-level stuff.

"Good export quality most of the time"
I use CapCut mostly for short videos, the export quality is usually solid. Most of the time my videos come out clear, the colors look pretty close to what I saw in the preview, and I’m not sitting there wondering what happened to my footage.
That said, bigger files can take way longer than I expect, which is always mildly annoying when you think you’re done and then the app is like, “Actually, wait another eternity.” I’ve also had one or two exports come out just a tiny bit softer than the preview, not ruined or anything, but enough for me to notice and get irritated.
Overall, for a free or cheap editor, it does the job pretty well. I just wish the export settings were easier to understand, because sometimes it feels like you need to guess which option won’t randomly make your video look worse.

"The watermark was a frustrating surprise"
I spent a while editing my video and only realized at the end that the watermark wasn’t going away unless I paid or dealt with certain limits. That really annoyed me, mostly because it wasn’t made clear upfront. It felt kind of sneaky, like I’d already put in the work before finding out. I just wanted a clean export, so I don’t think I’ll use CapCut again for anything important.
"Not worth it for someone who edits regularly"
As someone who makes and edits videos often, I really wanted capcut’s AI tools to make things easier, but they just frustrated me. The captions had a bunch of mistakes, the edits felt random, and some of the AI effects made my video look kind of cheap instead of polished. I ended up going back in and fixing or redoing most of it myself, so it didn’t really save me any time. If anything, it added another step.

"CapCut keeps losing my edits"
Maybe I’m biased because I’ve always been paranoid about browser-based editors, but CapCut has really tested my patience. I’ll make a bunch of edits, close the browser thinking everything synced like it should, then come back later and half the work is missing or the project just refuses to load.
Using it across devices has been even more annoying. One device shows an older version, another shows nothing useful at all, and suddenly hours of work are just gone. I actually like CapCut when it works, but this saving and syncing mess makes it hard to trust.

"In my experience, the app is easy..."
In my experience, the app is easy to use for quick edits, which I really like. The only downside for me is that exports can sometimes come out a little weird on my phone, so it’s not perfect, but overall I still think it’s solid.
